This upper division course explores the theory and practice of theatre with and/or for children and adolescents. Students explore the histories and literatures of the field along with contemporary practices in both professional and educational settings.

Students develop a working knowledge of the theories, practices, literature, institutions, figures, and philosophies that collectively constitute the field of Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) and its related forms in the United States and Internationally.
