SPELLS OF THE SEA Father’s Day Tribute: A Love Letter To the Father/Daughter Bond

Guinevere “Gwenny” Govea with Anna Pickett

Last week Spells of the Sea had a premiere reading at the Pegasus PlayLab. Crowds cheered for the new musical that director Julia Flood calls,

“A production everyone will want to see featuring mermaids and pirates, magic and adventures; a piece that asks us to face our worst fears and to feel our deepest feelings, and it does so with music, laughter, and plenty of heart.”

Playwright, composer, lyricist Guinevere “Gwenny” Govea shares how her Father inspired the story and how important to her is their Father/Daughter bond.

In this Father’s Day season we honor Father’s everywhere. How has your Father inspired you?
